Regular Polish Language Coruses

I

  1. In order to register in a course students complete „Registration Form” and one-time
    pay non-refundable deposit of 50€.
  2. There is no registration deadline.
  3. The full payment for a course should be made in advance no later than 14 days
    before it at the given bank details.
  4. The payment can be done in Euro, Polish zloty or American dollar via bank transfer.
    The exchange rate is set according to the average rate set for a given currency by the
    Polish National Bank – NBP.
  5. Cancellation policy: -50% of the value of the course if the cancellation is notified
    later than 14 days before the start of the course (does not apply to those applying for
    a visa or residence card). Resignation should be submitted in e-mail to the Institute’s
    office.
  6. The Institutel will not refund the course payment if the would-be student did not get
    a visa/temporary residence permit for the following reasons:
  • did not provide the required documents
  • failed to demonstrate that he/she has sufficient financial means to stay in Poland
  • for other reasons where it can be considered that the visa/residence permit was not
    issued to him through his fault
  1. The school reserves the right to place students in groups. The groups are formed
    according to levels of student’s proficiency in Polish language (according to the
    preliminary test completed by students)
  2. Regular Language Courses take place in groups from 3 to 10 students. They are full
    time with 25 lessons (45 minutes each) per week, except the German students at
    Bildungsurlaubs who have special programms according to their lands.
  3. If the number of students in a group falls below 3 students the number of lessons
    decrease to 20 lessons per week. The course fee remains unchanged.
  4. The issues covered in a group relate to the group level and student’s interests.
    Interests of all members of a group are taken into consideration.

II

  1. In accordance with Regulation (EU) of the European Parliament and of the Council
    2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons in connection with
    with the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and
    repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) we inform you
    that the Administrator of personal data within the meaning of data protection
    regulations is DISCOVER POLISH – International Institute for Polish Language and
    Intercultural Education it is registered office at Haffnera 66/1 Street office in Sopot,
    81-715. NIP: 9581243268; REGON: 367489382.
  2. Each person whose data is processed by the Data Controller has the right to access
    the content of his/her data and the right to rectify, erase, restrict processing, the
    right to data portability, the right to object, the right to revoke consent to the
    processing of personal data. In order to exercise the rights mentioned above, please

    Each person whose data is processed also has the right to lodge a complaint with a
    supervisory authority.
  3. The Administrator shall collect the data needed to provide the language services
    provided. The collected data enable:
  • contact with the school office,
  • contact with the teacher conducting classes,
  • conclusion of a contract for the provision of language services,
  • invoicing and posting of transactions,
  • creating an account in the system used to manage the language school
  1. Necessary data for the provision of language services by the Administrator are name,
    surname, email address and telephone number. For the purpose of registration,
    additionally required data are residential address, date and place of birth, and PESEL
    number or passport number. For the purpose of issuing an invoice, the required data
    are the company name, business address and Tax Identification Number.
  2. Personal data are provided to the Administrator voluntarily when contacting the
    Administrator (email contact, telephone contact, through social networks, portals
    with advertisements or personal contact at the headquarters of Institute). Data are
    also provided to the Administrator when concluding contracts for the provision of
    language services and registering for courses.
  3. In order to carry out the services provided by the Administrator, it is possible to
    transfer personal data to the following persons or companies:
  • employees, contractors and subcontractors of Discover Polish – International
    Institute for Polish Language and Intercultural Education:
  • companies that provide accounting services — Accounting online – Aneta Socha –
    Jaworska
  • courier companies and the Polish postal service operators of systems used to
    manage the language school
  • companies providing server maintenance, hosting services — SeoHost.pl
  • companies providing email services — Google LLC
  1. The Administrator processes personal data for the period necessary for the proper
    implementation of the services provided and the purposes of personal data
    processing described above.
  2. In accordance with applicable regulations, the Administrator shall make every effort
    to ensure all measures to protect personal data from unauthorized disclosure,
    destruction, loss, alteration, use or access.
  3. The Administrator does not use cookies to collect data such as name, surname, e-
    mail address. Visitors to the site remain anonymous. The information from cookies is
    used for statistical analysis of how the Discover Polish website is used and for its
    proper functioning.
